Crazy Cute Newborn Session In The West Loop

As a Chicago Newborn and Maternity Photographer, I’m so lucky to be able to work with the most beautiful and most adorable clients. Baby Anderson was nothing short of adorable during his newborn shoot. He was such a good boy. This particular shoot took place at my clients home in the west loop in downtown Chicago.  Anderson was as cute as his name. He has the most adorable chubby cheeks, (as you can see) and his lashes are so long and dark, that he’s bound to make women everywhere jealous of all that natural beauty. And…how about that smile? It’s a rarity when I can get a brand new baby to smile for the camera. Absolutely amazing! Anderson had a few wardrobe changes to keep things interesting, and he even wore some of my favorite pants by the one and only No. 2 Willow Lane.   Anderson is the 1st baby in the family, and his very sweet parents are absolutely in love, and I can’t blame them! All and all, I’d say this session was 100 percent successful! Cuteness everywhere!

Stunning Newborn Photo Shoot In Lincoln Park

Baby Milinia is just too cute for words. I took her mother’s maternity photos on the beach at the Adler Planetarium, and I was very excited when I found out that baby Milinia was finally here. I absolutely love being a maternity photographer, and baby Milinia is an absolute doll! I have never seen such gorgeous hair. Seriously her hair is truly amazingly beautiful.  She is pretty in purple, in yellow, and in cream. She is killing it in her teeny tiny blue and white polka dot bikini and in my favorite purple, puffy, ruffle bottom pants. All of her headbands are from Sew Whimsey. She was an angel, very cooperative and sleepy, and her parents are absolutely over the moon about their sweet baby girl. Who could blame them? Her skin is gorgeous, her dark lashes are beautiful, and she’s got just the right amount of chub in her cheeks. Baby Milinia is this lovely family’s first creation, and she is as stunning as it gets. I absolutely cannot wait to shoot pics of her again.

As far as luck goes, I think I have it pretty good. I’m not discounting years of handwork, but I feel pretty lucky to have the job I do. Not many people can say that they get to cuddle new life daily. Anyone who’s held a newborn baby, knows exactly what I’m talking about. It’s all wonder, innocence, and sheer sweetness. It doesn’t matter if the babies are good sleepers, or colicky, or if they happen to tinkle on my blankets; all my newborn baby clients are precious! Baby Elena was a perfectly sweet client. She was sleepy and darling the entire shoot. She looked amazing in every color, and her headbands were made by the one and only Sew Whimsey! Her lashes, gorgeous skin, and dark hair make this doll a real stunner. Baby Elena is the first baby for this very nice couple that moved from Ohio to The Windy City. They purchased the Jaxon package, so I will be working with them for her 6 month and 1 year photos as well. I absolutely cannot wait to see her grow.

Beautiful Senior Portrait Session In Mokena

As many of you may have noticed, I have started doing senior portraits, and I just love working with the older girls. It’s been such a fun process opening up that end of my business. If you think about it, although these senior photo shoots take place about 18 years after newborn pictures are taken, I find some similarity in the style of photography. There is a familiarity in the posing, only my clients are slightly more willing and awake. My shoot with Audrey in downtown Frankfort and at the preserve in Mokena went amazingly well. She’s an absolute natural. Her skin is ridiculously flawless and her hair is the envy of all women!!! Hair and make-up was provided by Opulent Beauty in Palos, and I’d say they did a wonderful job! Audrey had several wardrobe changes, and I absolutely love her style. From the dress, to the scarf, to the button-down denim shirt, she looked great. That evening was particularly sunny, and with the light coming in behind that beautiful red hair, her brown eyes and lashes were stunning. Good luck to Audrey, graduating class of 2015!

Ridiculously Adorable Newborn Photo Shoot In Lincoln ParkMy work as a Chicago newborn photographer makes me feel extremely lucky in life. Every day, or almost every day, I get to work with brand new babies. There is absolutely nothing like holding brand new life in your hands. Not many people get to experience this level of joy on a daily basis, and for that reason, I love my job. My session with Christian was amazing! Christian is one of my city babies, and while driving in and out of the city always means hours of extra driving time in traffic, Christian was well worth it! Christian is the first baby in the family, and his proud parents could not be more excited. Diane and Jay have become some of my favorite clients. I took Diane’s maternity pictures at Lincoln Park Zoo, and we got some excellent shots of Jay and Diane during Christian’s newborn shoot. Christian was so sweet and cooperative during the session, and he looked downright adorable in a pair of No. 2 Willow Lane pants. I just love him, and we already have a 6 month session in the books as well as a 1 year session. I cannot wait to watch baby Christian grow! Too cute!
